2002 Chicago High School Football Championship in Pictures
A father and son finally share the Wooden Tower. Lake County takes its place among the Windy City prep football dynasties. These are the pictures that defined Week 14 - Championship Week in Illinois high school football. Mount Carmel grabbed a 10th state championship, while tiny Carmel Mundelein walked into Hanson Stadium and ran back to Lake County with the Prep Bowl title. Congratulations on a job well done!

The Hubbard Greyhounds became the first program in CHicago Public League history to reach the IHSA State football quarterfinals two years in a row. They also were the first CPL program to start 11-0 in a season.

Meanwhile, the Mount Carmel Caravan, knocked out of the second round of the state playofs for the first time in 8 years, outsocred their opponents 139-0 en route to a record 10th Prep Bowl championship.
